FRENCH PODIUM IN THE CROSSHAIRS πŸ‡«

The historic Bugatti circuit in Le Mans offers rider Tony Arbolino another great opportunity for a podium finish in the seventh round of the 2022 Moto2 World Championship.

Arbolino has so far been consistently among the fastest men in the ultra-competitive Moto2 class this season, and he is fully motivated to deliver another strong performance in this Sunday's French Grand Prix .

The Italian, in fact, has been the revelation this year and his two podiums in the last three races have put him firmly in contention for the World Champion title.

He arrives in France this weekend optimistic for another challenge among the frontrunners, confident especially after his brilliant results at the French circuit: second place in Moto3 in 2020 and a fantastic fourth place a year ago, the 21-year-old's best result in his rookie season in Moto2.

The Le Mans weekend will finally begin tomorrow with free practice at 10:55 a.m. local time, while the 25-lap race will be held at 12:20 p.m. on Sunday.

THE CIRCUIT OF LE MANS

One of the most iconic and exciting circuits in motorsport, dedicated to the French car manufacturer founded in the early 20th century by Milanese designer and entrepreneur Ettore Isidoro Arco Bugatti. On this asphalt you can breathe history, not surprisingly the first driver to win a 500cc race was Giacomo Agostini in 1969 with an MV Agusta.

It is run on a 4,185-meter track, with a fairly varied layout. After a fast first part, with the start straight leading into the wide right-hand bend that leads to the Dunlop Chicane, there follows a section full of hairpin bends, to a finish that alternates between acceleration and braking until the slow final corner.

A track for those who know how to use their brakes well. According to Brembo engineers, who work closely with all the MotoGP riders, Le Mans is one of the most challenging circuits of the first part of the season from the point of view of braking: in a range from 1 to 6 it has a coefficient of 4 (as in Jerez de la Frontera). So we look forward to Sunday, to see who will know how to use and manage the brakes best!!!

πŸŽ™Tony:
"Le Mans is a track I really like and I arrive here full of confidence after our recent results, but also because last year I managed to get my best finish in my first season in Moto2. With more experience in this category, now it would be great to be able to fight at the front again. I feel that we have improved my feeling with the bike in every race so far, and that will still be one of the main goals. Besides that, the goal is to finish in the top five again, and the good news is that the weather looks like it will be nice! I hope to make it even nicer!"
